The printer in reception is a network printer to which all computers in the practice connect. The network cable is plugged in from the VOIP phone (switchboard) next to the second reception computer.
Network Unavailable issue
If the printer in Greenside is not printing or scanning (check the scanning program on a reception computer, the printer name should have a green circle next to it at the bottom of the application if it is connected; grey if not), check the switchboard phone next to the 2nd reception computer (the one which is not facing the door) to see whether it says “Network Unavailable”. If this is the case, unplug the red network cable from the phone at the back and plug it back in. This reboots the phone and should sort out the network problem.
If the problem still persists, please log a ticket so that the IT department can have a look at the problem.
